The Town of Batavia Fire Department provides emergency response services and life safety education programs to the citizens of the Town of Batavia, Genesee County.  This service is provided to approximately 6000 people residing in an 26 square mile area; 25% commercial properties and covering over 8 miles of the New York State Thruway.  Emergency response services provided by the department include: fire suppression, hazardous conditions response (carbon monoxide, natural gas) and motor vehicle accident response.  Many of our members are First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician certified and are able to assist the primary medical service providers for the town.
